Naples, green light for universal digital civil service at the Municipality
As part of the intervention program "Digital Civil Service - Digital Campania", two project proposals presented by the Municipality of Naples in co-design with the Aps Callystoarts have been approved by the Department of Youth Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers: "Digital assist" which provides for the assignment of 14 volunteers and "digital citizens" which will involve 16 volunteers.
The Municipality of Naples announced this in a note, specifying: “The project aims to combat social and digital isolation, resulting from the recent pandemic climate, through assistance paths aimed at adults and elderly people in difficult conditions, in order to allow them to learn to orient themselves independently in computerized bureaucratic processes.
'Digital Citizens' is, instead, a project aimed at strengthening the services already active in the Municipal Administration, in order to facilitate the autonomy of users, through individualized support and the concrete use of digital services and devices. The intervention also has the additional benefit of decongesting access to physical counters".
In this regard, the Councillor for Youth and Work, Chiara Marciani, intervened: “The selection of projects presented by the Municipality represents the confirmation of our ability to propose valid ideas and of the importance of public-private co-design, capable of making the resources of different actors synergistic, mutually recognizing the specific skills that each participant brings.
The two selected projects represent, on the one hand, a precious opportunity for young volunteers, which will allow them personal and professional growth, on the other hand an opportunity for local communities to overcome the digital skills gap between generations”.
