Yet another death from a road accident affecting the province of Caserta.
The victim was Francesca Lafragola, 25 years old, originally from Rocca D'Evandro. The accident occurred on the Cassino-Atina, a state road in the province of Frosinone. The young woman, a bartender at a sports center in Cassino, was riding a motorcycle driven by her boyfriend Luca, a 26-year-old resident of Rocca d'Evandro.
The vehicle in which the young couple was traveling collided with a Fiat Punto with a father and daughter on board at the exit for the Cassino hospital. The impact was devastating: Francesca she died instantly, while Luca was transported to the emergency room in very serious conditions.
The young man was transferred by helicopter to Rome and underwent a delicate surgical operation to remove his spleen; he suffered several fractures and his clinical picture is being monitored with great attention. The doctors have not yet released a prognosis.
The police are continuing their investigations to ascertain any responsibilities. In the meantime, the driver of the Fiat Punto has been entered in the register of suspects with the accusation of road homicide.
