Torre Annunziata. Two arrests in two separate operations by the Torre Annunziata Carabinieri: two very young people with criminal records arrested.
Francesco Falanga, 22 years old from Torre Annunziata, was arrested for attempted aggravated extortion. The young man robbed a Honda SH from a 20-year-old, threatening him with a gun, and then attempted the so-called 'comeback horse'.
After agreeing on the return, Falanga went to the victim's house where he would return the motorcycle in exchange for money. During the meeting, there was a furious fight between the two, fortunately a carabinieri patrol car happened to pass by the apartment and the soldiers heard the screams.
The carabinieri entered the house and verified that the fight was due to the extortion request.
Falanga was arrested and is now awaiting trial in Poggioreale.
The second arrest is that of Salvatore Iovene, also already known to the police, accused of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition. The military carried out a search at his home. During the search they found a Beretta 6,35 caliber semi-automatic pistol on which investigations are underway to verify its possible use for bloody acts or other crimes. The weapon was ready for use: a round in the chamber and a magazine with three more bullets inside.
Iovane is now awaiting trial.
