The Royal Palace of Caserta will be exceptionally open also on Tuesday 16 August. To encourage visitors to stay in the Caserta area during the Ferragosto holidays and to promote the entire cultural and tourist industry of the area, thanks to the Museum's enhancement project and the availability of the staff, the Vanvitellian Complex will also be open on the day of ordinary weekly closure.
As planned and despite the difficulties, with great commitment from all the staff and the Director Tiziana Maffei herself who will personally welcome visitors to the Complex, great attention will be paid to the cultural offering of the Museum.
In addition to the Royal Apartments, the Royal Park and the English Garden, the exhibitions Fragments of Paradise - Gardens in Time at the Royal Palace of Caserta in the Queen's Apartments will also be open to visitors - over one hundred and fifty works including paintings, drawings, sculptures, tapestries, herbaria, books and art objects and contemporary interpretations in dialogue with each other to tell the story of the garden over the centuries - and The Little Prince, Giuseppe Sanmartino at the Royal Palace of Caserta in the Palatine Chapel - the exhibition, created following the discovery in the Museum's deposits of the life-size marble portrait of a newborn baby by Giuseppe Sanmartino, identified as the Royal Infant Charles Titus of Bourbon.
Access to the exhibitions is included in the cost of tickets that include a visit to the Royal Apartments.
