Riccardo Sinigallia closes the sixth edition of Frangenti – Cetara Arts Festival. Saturday 3 September

Frangenti – Cetara Arts Festival, the theatre and music festival directed by Vincenzo Albano, started on 23 July; it resumed its activities on 25 August for its second phase that will end on 3 September.

The festival is aimed at the very young, with the aim of enhancing the creative capacity of the word through the exploration of different artistic expressions ranging from dramatic language to music, and at adults with singer-songwriter concerts of the highest quality.

Divided into three sections, #KIDS, #Stories and #Live, it takes place in various suggestive locations in the seaside village of Cetara, on the Amalfi Coast.

Frangenti – Cetara Arts Festival debuted with exclusive regional concerts by two of the most renowned musicians and singer-songwriters on the national contemporary scene: Giorgio Poi and Cristina Donà performed last July 23 and 30; both on stage in the port area suspended between sea and land.

In the past few days, the theatrical shows “Le favole della sanità” and “La vita salva” with the actress Silvia Frasson were held, for the #Live section, the singer-songwriters Erica Mou and Zibba performed a touching and pathos-filled performance, while the day before yesterday the show entitled “Che viaggio!” was staged, an original narration with puppets animated on sight by and with Flavia d'Aiello.

Starting tomorrow, however, Frangenti will begin the final rush of its long programmatic journey and will present the last three shows of the #Kids section and will conclude with the exclusive concert of the singer-songwriter Riccardo Sinigallia.

Wednesday 31 August (21:00 pm at the Church of San Pietro Apostolo, free admission) on stage “Appesi a un filo” by and with Remo di Filippo and Rhoda Lopez. A puppet show full of poetry and fun, perfect for all ages: “they enchant children and make adults dream”. The puppets are alive, alive in the sense of being able to transmit emotions!
Wordless cabaret style show where each character has their own story that they tell through movement, music, live singing and interaction with the puppeteers.

Thursday 01 September (21:00 pm at Piazza San Francesco, free admission) Le Nuvole Casa Del Contemporaneo presents, again for the #Kids section, “Pulcinella che passione” a puppet show with the interpretation of Antonello Furmiglieri who uses a scenography formed by a shack, which in addition to adapting well to the most disparate contexts, immediately has a strong impact on children who identify it as the protagonist of the story that will be told. A giant image of the Pulcinella mask in fact frames the stage of the theater on which the characters in fabric and foam rubber move.

The plot is simple, Pulcinella doesn't have a job and is therefore always penniless. She lives by her wits and chases away every opportunity to work hard as soon as she can. An eternal big child who finds himself living the most unlikely adventures and getting into very serious trouble from which, with a smile and apparent naivety, he daringly manages to save himself. Certainly a character who inevitably amuses the little ones, to whom he gives the enthusiasm to let go of their dreams and the illusion that a pinch of magic exists in life and can be of help to those who - like Pulcinella - never lose hope in men and in his dreams of love and freedom.

The third and final show of the children's section is "Where did Prince Charming go?" and will take place on Friday 02 September (21:00 pm at Piazza San Francesco, free admission). Presented by the company Il teatro nel baule, it is written by Simona di Maio and Sebastiano Coticelli and on stage will be Maria Tito and Sebastiano Coticelli.
Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, but also Lucilla, Sofia, Giovanna. They are all waiting for their Prince Charming and, as in all self-respecting fairy tales, sooner or later Prince Charming arrives, but there is only one and there are too many princesses waiting for him. How will our Prince Charming choose one? Hilarious and fun, for kids of all ages.

The great closing of the sixth edition of Frangenti – Cetara Arts festival 2022 will take place with the exclusive concert of the Roman singer-songwriter Riccardo Sinigallia who will perform in a trio accompanied by Laura Arzilli on bass and Francesco Valente on percussion. The concert is entitled “A cuor leggero” where no new songs are presented, but where those already written return to make themselves heard and establish new relationships with ourselves and with others.

The last appointment with the #Live section dedicated to singer-songwriter music is for Saturday 03 September (22pm at Piazzetta Grotta, entrance fee 00 euros at the box office and pre-sales are available on Go15 and Ticketone).

It is possible to reach Cetara with the evening run of the Travelmar ferries: from Salerno (Piazza della Concordia) departure at 20.30:00.30 while the shuttle service for the return at the end of the concert is at 5:XNUMX with arrival in Salerno in Piazza della Concordia and parking in Via Carella. Reservation required at info@ablativo.it Cost: euro XNUMX per person.
