'Mare Fest. No Touching Allowed', the eighth edition of the inclusion festival kicks off
The exhibition of social inclusion, reverse social inclusion, sea culture, the right to reading and accessibility to museum assets, was conceived and designed by the architect Anna Russolillo and the typhlologist Leonardo Sutera.
Everything is ready in Campi Flegrei for the start of the VIII edition of “Mare Fest. Vietato Non tocco”, by Villaggio Letterario, dedicated to sighted, visually impaired and blind children and dedicated to the memory of Sebastiano Tusa. Godmother of the event Lidia Tusa.
The event that unites Campania and Sicily will be presented on Wednesday 19 October at 11.00:21 am at Palazzo Migliaresi, Terra di Pozzuoli district, during a press conference that will be moderated by Gianni Ambrosino, director of Canale 2. After greetings from Mayor Luigi Manzoni, Councilor for Culture Filippo Monaco and President of Uici Napoli Mario Mirabile, the director of the Archaeological Park of Campi Flegrei Fabio Pagano, the president of Villaggio Letterario Anna Russolillo, the president of Lunaria AXNUMX Onlus Sonia Gervasio, the directors of the institutes of Campi Flegrei Francesca Coletta and Giovanna Battista Costigliola will speak.
On this occasion, the short film by iRI.For Sicilia directed by Gaetano Minincleri “Come piccole isole” by director Alberto Castiglione based on an idea by Leonardo Sutera and Linda Legname (vice president of the Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted). The theme of the 2022 event is the underwater archaeological park of Baia, one of the 26 sites of the Archaeological Park of the Campi Flegrei directed by Fabio Pagano. 100 sighted, blind and partially sighted children will be involved with braille, tactile art and underwater archaeology workshops, aimed at creating illustrated tactile books that will be exhibited at the Archaeological Museum of the Campi Flegrei.
The events will take place from October 24th to 30th, between the Pergolesi Comprehensive Institute of Pozzuoli directed by Francesca Coletta and the Archaeological Museum of the Phlegraean Fields (Baia Castle), with the director Fabio Pagano and the manager Pierfrancesco Talamo. Numerous cultural activities and workshops of the ninety students of the Pergolesi Institute and the Marconi Institute of Pozzuoli, will be held at the Pergolesi of Arco Felice.
The exhibition benefits from the contribution of the Campania Region, has the collaboration of the Submerged Archaeological Park of Baia (MiC), the Municipality of Pozzuoli, the Pergolesi Institute of Pozzuoli, the Marconi Institute of Pozzuoli, the Italian Library for the Blind Regina Margherita, Lunaria A2 Onlus and the patronage of the Regional Council of Campania, the Diocese of Pozzuoli, the Sicilian Region, the Superintendency of the Sea of the Sicilian Region, the Braille Printing House of Catania, the Archaeological Group of the Campi Flegrei, the Rotta di Enea, Dialogos and the Centro sub Campi Flegrei.
