Premio d'Aponte 2022: to Niccolò Fabi and Paola Pitagora the Lifetime Achievement Award of the City of Aversa. On October 28 and 29 the contest for female singer-songwriters with Rai Radio1 media partner.
The cast of the 18th “Premio Bianca d'Aponte” in Aversa, the competition for female singer-songwriters that has now become a fixed point in the Italian panorama of quality music, scheduled at the Cimarosa theater in Aversa on October 28 and 29, is further enriched.
As guests, the names already announced include Niccolò Fabi, for the first time at d'Aponte, and Paola Pitagora, who will be awarded the City of Aversa's Lifetime Achievement Award. But Giuseppe Barbera, Piero Fabrizi and Kaballà, artists who have long been associated with the Award, will also be on the Cimarosa stage, also as judges, and Sorah Rionda, who won the Bianca d'Aponte International Award. Finally, it is worth highlighting the presence of a group of students from the Cirillo classical and musical high school in Aversa who will pay homage to Bianca d'Aponte by performing one of her songs.
Confirmed are also the presence of Simona Molinari, Raiz, Pacifico and Isotta (who, as the winner of the last edition, will open both evenings), as well as that of Grazia Di Michele, as godmother. In fact, every year the Award hosts a prominent singer-songwriter who presides over the jury and proposes a song by Bianca d'Aponte.
The heart of the event will be, as always, the contest for female singer-songwriters. The artists selected this year for the final, as already announced, will be: Angelae (Angela Zanonato) from Padua, Candeo (Paola Candeo) from Milan, Giorgia Canton from Verona, Fefe (Federica Sartori) from Bolzano, Assia Fiorillo from Naples, Jole (Jole Canelli) from Savona, Jungle J. Anne (Giulia Covitto) from Grosseto, Lamo (Daniela Mornati) from Milan, Lula (Lucrezia Di Fiandra) from Rome, Moà (Martina Maggi) from Terni, Alessandra Nicita from Lecce.
Some of the finalists and guests will be accompanied by the resident band directed by Alessandro Crescenzo.
The artistic direction is by Ferruccio Spinetti, while the conduction this year is entrusted to Daniela Esposito and Ottavio Nieddu. Rai Radio 1 is the official media partner.
The event will kick off as always with a sort of preview, a seminar on songwriting curated by Giuseppe Anastasi, Giuseppe Barbera and Angelo Franchi, scheduled for Thursday 27 October from 10 am to 17 pm at the Bianca d'Aponte Auditorium, in Via Nobel.
On Friday 28 October at 11am the Aula Magna of the Cirillo High School will host a meeting with the Nuovo Imaie.
Then at 20pm at the Cimarosa Theatre there will be the first evening of the Award, with guests Niccolò Fabi, Isotta, Pacifico, Sorah Rionda, Giuseppe Barbera and the students of the Cirillo High School.
Saturday 29 October will open at 10 in the conference room of the Hotel Max with the presentation of the book “Storie di straordinari fonia” (Bertoni editore) by Foffo Bianchi, Duccio Pasqua and Francesca Gaudenzi. Duccio Pasqua will be present, interviewed by Giuseppe Scuotri. At 11 there will then be space for the traditional meeting with the ten finalists, hosted by Roberta Balzotti.
At 20 pm, final evening of the Award with the godmother Grazia Di Michele and with Isotta, Piero Fabrizi, Kaballà, Simona Molinari, Paola Pitagora and Raiz. At the end of the evening the winner will be announced and the other expected prizes will be awarded.
The overall winner will receive the Bianca d'Aponte Award, with a scholarship of €1.000, participation as a guest at the next edition of the Award, three presentation concerts produced by Doc Live and the possibility of participating in the Premio dei Premi del Mei in Faenza. The winner of the Critics' Award "Fausto Mesolella" (historical artistic director of the event) will receive a scholarship of €800. Mentions will also be awarded for best text, best music and best interpretation.
In addition to these, there are many prizes awarded to some finalists directly by entities external to the organization or by individual judges. Among those confirmed is the “Premio 'Na stella” (title of a song by Mesolella) by Virus Studio, with the recording of a song with the artistic production of Ferruccio Spinetti; a proposal for a year of legal and managerial assistance for the winning artist or other finalist by Siedas; a prize from Soundinside Basement Records consisting of the production of a live video in the studio; that of the label Suoni dall'Italia by Mariella Nava, with the proposal of a possible artistic collaboration and that of the female label “Maieutica Dischi” by Veronica Marchi (winner of the first edition of the Prize) for the production and publication of a song.
Furthermore, starting from this edition, Dcave records of the artistic producer Daniele Grasso will offer one finalist the complete production of a three-song EP, while the Nilla Pizzi Award will host one of the contestants, awarding her, on the evening of the Award which will take place at the Teatro Bibiena in Sant'Agata Bolognese on November 19th.
Meanwhile, the Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid has confirmed, for the second year, a special evening of the Bianca d'Aponte Award that will be held in the coming months with the participation of three singer-songwriters chosen from those who have participated in the Award over the years and one of its godmothers.
