Theater, the season of shows in the living rooms begins in Naples. Appeal by the writer Manlio Santanelli, give value to culture
“In our country, culture has never reached such a low level as it does now; therefore, the series of itinerant shows in private Neapolitan salons 'Theatre seeks a home' knocks on the door of those who perceive this problem and, to the extent of their possibilities, intend to bring it back to the level it deserves in a civil society”. Thus said the Neapolitan writer and playwright Manlio Santanelli during the presentation of the eleventh season of the event conceived by him and organized by Livia Coletta.
Among the new features, a focus on social issues that draws attention to homophobia and the lives of women in prisons, the event 'Il piccolo del teatro cerca casa' which features the actors who have made the history of the festival Federica Aiello, Maurizio Capone, Massimo Masiello, Murano, Antonella Morea, Caterina Pontrandolfo, and spaces immersed in nature where the works will be staged.
“One of our main goals – explained Coletta – it is to give work to temporarily free professionals and, at the same time, to strengthen the love for the theatre and therefore for culture in those who have distanced themselves from it”.
Among the shows of the 2022-2023 season “A question of desire” with Federica Aiello and Carlo Di Maio, “The music of the peoples” with Mimmo Maglionico and Roberto Trenca, “Di Giacomo and the rediscovered songs” with Matteo Mauriello accompanied on piano by Luigi Tirozzi, “I am the other” with Gioia Miale and Alberico Lombardi accompanied on piano and guitar by Sergio Mautone, “La rossa.
“Omaggio a Milva” with Antonella Morea accompanied on the piano by Vittorio Capaldi. The show will open in the living room of the Santanelli house in the Vomero neighborhood. On October 31st at 18 pm Stefano Jotti will perform the show “Dentro fuori altro”. It will continue in November in various apartments in the old center of Naples, Pozzuoli and also Caserta.
Finally, there will be a tribute to Gennaro Cannavacciuolo who passed away last May. On November 4, in the Sala Ferrari in Naples, Santanelli's show "Le verità di Cesira" will be screened, which the actor was about to stage for the first time in Milan.
