Jewels, cash, valuables, hi-fi but also objects of little value, such as, for example, plants. Nowadays, Campania merchants are victims of continuous thefts and thieves have no qualms about acting at any time of the day or night to steal even the most unusual loot.
A shopkeeper from Casavatore contacted the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli to report the theft of a plant placed outside his shop in via Torricelli. The theft occurred at 6:35 on the morning of November 22.
“The issue is not the value of the stolen object nor the single episode, the problem is how traders, entrepreneurs and even free citizens are subjected to thieves and robbers every day and how they are abandoned to their fate by the institutions”, Borrelli declared.
And then he added: “In many areas, the presence of law enforcement is almost completely lacking and this obviously creates fertile ground for delinquents and criminals. It is now our duty to restore legality and security. We need more officers on the streets and more surveillance cameras.”
