Music, 'Rock Queen' new single by Francesco Nardo is out
The new single by Neapolitan singer-songwriter Francesco Nardo is titled 'Rock Queen' and will be released on Wednesday in all digital stores.
Rock Queen, says Francesco, is a song that represents a return to the origins, to the sound he grew up with. Despite his twenty-five years, he is a musician who in some ways has remained anchored to old fundamental pillars of life, such as apprenticeship. “Before I started writing songs I wrote a lot of them.
I started out as a drummer, I played in clubs that were real basements in the most authentic Naples, but that's where you play in a pure way, almost unconsciously I dare say". This is how the young singer-songwriter describes himself, who at the time sang and played drums in a tribute band to Guns'N'Roses and other groups, where Rock was the master.
“This is the genre that shaped me and with this new song I have rediscovered that eccentric and uninhibited side of me, my Rock side, and I thought it was right to honor it in the only way I know how: writing – continues Nardo -.
This time I did it by speaking of universal feelings, of joy, of love, of pure passion… but without ever breaking the pact I made with myself: writing only to speak to people, inevitably and fortunately influenced by personal experiences, but always trying to lead the content of my lyrics into the hearts of those who listen”.
In Rock Queen the tones of the track blend Rock with new ways of producing music, contaminated by an electronic influence: a trademark that Francesco proposes in each work, mixing genres and styles until a result that could be defined as 'hybrid' but without a doubt very powerful, in which beauty and eroticism become fully-fledged musical chords.
Rock Queen' comes as a true celebration of the Woman seen as a true Queen: a strong, brilliant and erotic woman. It is configured as an evocation, a secular prayer, written in a visceral way, made of blood and palpitations but without ever losing sight of the search for words in the text.
Rock Queen is a true rock anthem to women and Francesco chose to perform it live for the first time right in conjunction with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women: on November 25, during the event 'Un Pallone x Un Sorriso', a charity event that supports the cause and takes place inside the Palazzetto dello Sport in Desio.
