Bad weather, new landslide in Ravello following rains. A new landslide in the Casa Rossa area of Ravello
The rains of recent days have caused, this morning, the detachment of more land from the landslide front of Casa Rossa, in Ravello.
On February 10, 2021, the asphalt strip that crosses the agricultural land of the Torello hamlet had collapsed on the external side, isolating the resident families and damaging the productive activities in the area.
Since that day the road has been closed, with residents forced to leave their cars beyond the fences and walk home. The Municipality of Ravello has obtained regional funding of 830 thousand euros to carry out the restoration work.
The tender was awarded, with a 33% discount, to Consorzio Stabile Lucania Appalti scarl, with registered office in Potenza, for a total amount of 437.725,78 plus 10% VAT.
“We did all the procedures in the shortest time possible – says the mayor of Ravello Paolo Vuilleumier – we are at the stage of awarding the works and in the next few days the construction site will also be opened”.
"With the rain the nightmare has returned. We have families and small children who we would like to spend this Christmas in peace – says a resident of the area -. The tragic events in Ischia are keeping us from sleeping soundly. Almost two years have passed and we have been lucky. Now, however, we must act quickly and well”.
