The Senate Chamber has given the final green light, with 85 votes in favour, no votes against and 55 abstentions, to the decree providing for urgent interventions in favour of the populations affected by the exceptional events which have occurred on the island of Ischia starting from November 26, 2022.
The measure had already been approved by the Chamber. “The legislative intervention under consideration – we read in the text – regulates the first urgent interventions in favor of the population of the Municipalities of the island of Ischia severely hit by the floods and landslides of exceptional intensity that have caused a serious situation of danger for people, causing victims and the isolation of several locations, as well as the evacuation of numerous families from their homes.
These first interventions are essentially aimed at regulating the suspension of tax, contribution, administrative and procedural terms; the extension to 31 December 2023 of the deadline for the cessation of the temporary restoration of the detached island section of the Naples court based in Ischia, currently set for 31 December 2022, is also foreseen".
