Road accident victim this morning in Pozzuoli.
This morning the Carabinieri of the Pozzuoli radiomobile section intervened in Via Dante Alighieri for a pedestrian accident.
For reasons still being investigated, a 52-year-old man, driving his car, allegedly hit and killed 48-year-old Alessandro Sulmonte of Quarto.
The victim died instantly, immediately after the impact. The body will be taken to the hospital in Naples for the subsequent autopsy.
Investigations are underway to clarify the dynamics. The driver of the car was stopped and subjected to an alcohol test and a drug test to determine whether he was fit to drive at the time of the impact. He will be charged with road homicide
