È Napoli the Italian city of youth 2023.
The Award, promoted by the National Youth Council in collaboration with the Department for Youth Policies and Universal Civil Service and the National Agency for Youth - was assigned today during the event held in Rome, at the Press Room of Palazzo Chigi, in the presence of Maria Cristina Pisani, president of the Cng, Michele Sciscioli, head of the Department for Youth Policies and Universal Civil Service, Federica Celestini Campanari, general director of the National Agency for Youth and Stefania Leone of the University of Salerno.
The other finalists were Bergamo and Pisticci. “Congratulations to Naples for having been able to involve a large number of young people in the area and for having built an innovative program, with specific paths for the political socialization and organizational integration of young people – said Maria Cristina Pisani, president of the Cng – A project that favors the bottom-up demand for policies for innovation and social inclusion and provides tools to promote youth self-entrepreneurship, thus responding to the strong demand for involvement of young people in decisions and political processes”.
“Our heartfelt compliments also to the city of Pisticci, second place, which presented a courageous project, focusing on the self-determination of young people as a factor of inclusion and protagonism of the new generations within the fabric of the city. A special wish for good work to the city of Bergamo, third place, for their project on the fragility of the new generations, a very important theme for us at this time”.
