It's a mythological dragon, the April Fool's Day of the Dolomites

I April Fools have a long tradition on the Dolomiten. Every year on April 1st the newspaper publishes humorous articles, some of which are also taken seriously by readers. This year the fish is a dragon, a Tatzlwurm.

It is a figure from German mythology, a sort of dragon that is half cat and half lizard. As the Dolomiten writes on the Bolzano page, the remains of a Tatzlwurm were found on the Guncina near the Trattner farm by some schuetzen who will exhibit the skeleton today during their traditional festival, the Fruehschoppen, in Gries.

Among the April Fools' jokes of the Dolomiten is also the announcement of a party by the leader of the South Tyrolean trade union Tony Tschenett. The Suedtiroler Partei der Arbeitnehmer (SPA), according to the newspaper, would represent serious competition for the social wing of the SVP.
