Managing both pedestrian and traffic flows in the Spanish Quarter area and in particular the area of Largo Maradona, which is crowded with tourists but also in view of the celebrations for the Scudetto. This is a front on which the Municipality of Naples is working and in particular the department led by Antonio De Iesu.
“Our position is always to govern the problems and not to leave them to ungovernability – said the mayor, Gaetano Manfredi – the offices and the councilor De Iesu are working on a hypothesis of reorganization of the flows of the area both pedestrian and traffic because that is an area that must be served because it is inhabited”.
An area where in recent years numerous activities have sprung up, both catering and hospitality. The mayor stressed that there is a “general theme of how to govern the opening of commercial activities that requires a management plan with tools that are very complex from a regulatory point of view. To date, the Municipality has few possibilities for intervention, but this is an overall reflection that must be made and that concerns the entire historic center of Naples”.
