The two young men, both sixteen years old, accused of being the perpetrators of the voluntary homicide aggravated by futile motives and cruelty of the 40-year-old Ghanaian Akwasi Adofo Friederick, the homeless man beaten to death in Pomigliano d'Arco, have been identified by the Carabinieri thanks to social media monitoring.

The first clues were collected by the Carabinieri through a video acquired immediately after the incident, but more precise indications were given to the military by other images in which it was possible to see the clothes and faces of the two attackers.
One of the carabinieri of Pomigliano d'Arco managed to identify them and, having at this point their names and surnames, the carabinieri blocked and arrested them. Now they are both at the disposal of the prosecutor Raffaella German of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office of Napoli.
In the first, horrifying video, two young men are seen approaching and punching Akwasi Adofo: the man falls to the ground and the two begin to deliver a series of kicks to the head. The victim even manages to get up and take a few steps before collapsing to the ground, where he will be found dying by 118.
On their social profiles – where other videos of violence have been published, with photos of knives and guns – the young people are wearing clothes similar to those worn by the two attackers of the Ghanaian. During local searches carried out at the homes of the suspects, clothes useful for the investigation were found.

According to what was reconstructed during the investigations carried out by the Carabinieri of Pomigliano d'Arco, of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of Castello di Cisterna and of the Investigative Unit, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court of Naples, the two 16-year-olds arrested allegedly hit the man in the face, then continued to kick and punch him, most of which were aimed at the head, when the victim was already motionless on the ground.
The 40-year-old suffered a serious head injury and a cerebral hemorrhage and died in hospital in Nola. An arrest warrant was executed against the two 16-year-olds for the crime of voluntary homicide, committed with the aggravating circumstances of futile motives and cruelty.

The mayor praised the investigators for their speed in identifying the alleged perpetrators of the murder of Akwasi Adofo Friederick Lello Russo.
