Yesterday afternoon, personnel from the Naples Central Operations Department, during routine station control services, arrested a twenty-year-old Libyan, in execution of a custodial order in prison, simultaneously reporting him for theft by sleight of hand and resisting a public official.
Specifically, at around 16pm, the police officers operating inside the station Napoli At the station they immediately noticed a person who, in a suspicious manner, was wandering among people and luggage.
Shortly after, the man went outside the station and, taking advantage of the crowd at the taxi stand, in a lightning-fast move he opened a tourist's backpack and took out its contents.
The officers immediately intervened, blocking the man who resisted with kicks and punches.
The man, an illegal immigrant on the national territory, was subsequently taken, with no small amount of difficulty, to the office where, from subsequent expert investigations, an order of validation of the arrest and application of the precautionary measure of custody in prison emerged against him, issued by the investigating judge at the Court of Aosta.
At the end of the ritual activity, the defendant was locked up in the Poggioreale Prison and reported to the AG for theft and resisting a public official.
