In just two years, the Cala d'Ambra Music festival has managed to conquer a diverse audience, united by the pleasure of live music, which on a weekly basis has been able to appreciate different musicians all of great artistic depth. Since last June, the 2023 edition has also welcomed welcome guests on the Esagono terrace, facing Cala d'Ambra beach, with free concerts, during which it is not only possible to listen to excellent music, appreciating the beauty of the sea view, but it is also possible to create alliances between organizers and artists. This is how the collaboration was born that will see the Cala d'Ambra Music festival and the San Teodoro Jazz Festival united next Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd September. These are two of the evening events of the San Teodoro Jazz Festival.
Carlo Sezzi artistic director of the Cala d'Ambra Music festival and Matteo Pastorino, director of San Teodoro Jazz, musicians and colleagues, have organized two live meetings, with free admission.
1 September 20,00 hours
The first will start on Friday 1st September at 20,00:XNUMX pm, it is an STJ Session, a real moment of meeting and musical exchange, which will see among the protagonists surprise guests and the saxophonist Elias Lapia, with Paolo Corda. On the guitar, Lorenzo Agus on the double bass and Carlo Sezzi on the drums.

The next day, Saturday 2nd September, at 18,00pm the stage overlooking the sea will host the quintet of the singer Federica Piu with the project “Dedicated to”, a journey through a selection of songs-dedicated to the friends, loves and mentors of the same authors who composed them. Accompanying her will be Marco Maltalenti on the trumpet, Paolo Corda on the guitar, Lorenzo Agus on the double bass and Jacopo Careddu on the drums.
San Teodoro Jazz
The San Teodoro Jazz festival was born in 2016 from an idea of the clarinetist Matteo Pastorino with the aim of creating an opportunity for new artistic discoveries, an intense moment of exchange linked to Jazz music, constantly listening and searching for new regional, national and international talents.
Cala D'Ambra Music Festival
Since its first edition, the Cala d'Ambra Music Festival has offered guests who often come from the Blues Circuit in Sardinia, born in Porto Ferro and then developed in other live music hotspots such as San Teodoro and Porto Pollo.
The concerts on September 1st and 2nd are to be considered an integral part of the calendar of the Cala d'Ambra Music Festival which still has two events scheduled: Rita Casiddu with a special concert dedicated to Mina “Mina in Bianco e Nero” and the concert “Funk & Friend” feat Francesco Piu, for the grand finale of the 2023 edition.
