The DIA executed a confiscation order issued, within the scope of a preventive proceeding, by the Review and Preventive Measures Section of the Court of Salerno at the request of the Prosecutor's Office-District Anti-Mafia Directorate and the Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate, regarding companies, movable assets and financial assets worth over one million euros, attributable to Gennaro Ferrara of Cava de' Tirreni.
The confiscation decree was issued at the end of a complex investigative activity carried out by the Salerno DIA Section aimed at reconstructing the profile of qualified social dangerousness of the suspect and identifying the patrimonial and financial assets attributable to Ferrara, to the members of his family unit and to a front man.
The Preventive Measures Section of the Court, as a precautionary measure, had already deemed Ferrara's social dangerousness ascertained by virtue of his involvement in investigations into the links with the Bisogno clan, active in Cava de 'Tirreni and had issued, as a precautionary measure, a seizure order.
Ferrara was convicted with an irrevocable sentence for mafia association and was recently subjected to a personal and financial precautionary measure for the crimes of extortion, usury, fraudulent transfer of assets and abusive exercise of financial activities.
Based on the results of the asset investigations carried out by the DIA, on behalf of the DDA, the existence of a disproportion between the assets and the income capacity of Ferrara and his family members was documented.
The Court of Salerno has therefore ordered the confiscation of various commercial activities in the food and fuel distribution sectors in the Municipality of Cava de' Tirreni: Tm distributors of Tarulli Maria & Csas, Bar sportivo happy days 2 of Giuseppe Ferrara & Csas, peccati di gola of Ferrara Jessica & csas, individual firm Tarulli Maria, Happy Days 2 Arcara srl, as well as financial relationships and registered movable assets, for a total value of over one million euros
