Sangiuliano: “Museums are the wealth of Italy, good for August”
The data on museum admissions on August 15th are so "relevant" that “they confirm that we are doing a good job. I would like to thank first of all those who, during these days of vacation, have worked to ensure the usability of the sites”. The Minister of Culture declares it, Gennaro Sangiuliano, commenting on the numbers relating to admissions to state museums and archaeological parks during the long August bank holiday.
During the “bridge” of Ferragosto, almost 96 thousand people (95.853) visited the Colosseum, almost 63 thousand were the entrances to Pompeii and over 35 thousand to the Uffizi. “Our museums are a wealth of the Nation” says the Minister. SPE
