When questioned by the investigating judge of the juvenile court, Alessandra Puglisi confessed to having participated in the rape of the 19-year-old girl on July 7th among the wreckage of the construction site at the Foro Italico in Palermo.
A confession also dictated by irrefutable video evidence in the hands of investigators. And the judge had revoked his precautionary custody in the prison for minors (he became an adult a few days after the sexual assault) sending him to a rehabilitation community claiming that the boy had made a "critical review" of his behavior.
Now, after three days, the eighteen-year-old accused, together with six other youths, aged between 18 and 22, of having raped the nineteen-year-old and filmed the phases of the violence, is back in the Malaspina juvenile detention centre.
Entrusted to a community after being released from prison, he allegedly shot a series of videos, posted on Tik Tok, violating the magistrate's prescriptions, in which he boasts about the messages he received from several girls. The young man also posted some phrases on the social platform such as "whoever goes against me goes against death".
Also weighing on the new decision of the investigating judge Antonina Pardo was the careful examination of the messages and comments written after the rape to the other alleged rapists, which would prove that during the interrogation she had lied to the judge about her "repentance" and had not told the truth about the phases of the sexual violence.
His statements, writes the investigating judge, "had an absolutely instrumental value aimed solely at obtaining the attenuation of the measure".
“These new and emerging investigative elements – Pardo writes in the provision – outline the personality of a young man who, far from having started a process of awareness of the very serious crime committed, having obtained conditions of greater freedom with the inclusion in the community, continued to use the cell phone or other information device to boast of his deeds and to demonstrate adherence to criminal behavioral models”.
The juvenile prosecutor Claudia Caramanna had appealed against the release order. And the transfer of the other six suspects for the rape, Elio Arnao, Christian Maronia, Samuele La Grassa, Gabriele di Trapani, Angelo Flores and Cristian Barone, has begun from the Pagliarelli prison in Palermo to those of Castelvetrano and Termini Imerese.
The request to move the six had been made by the management of the penitentiary institute because things could have gone badly for the young people under investigation who seemed to have become the target of other inmates who wanted to punish them for the crime of which they are accused according to the rules of the unwritten code of prisoners.
Meanwhile, in the afternoon, a demonstration was held in the women's square of Mondello to reiterate the 'no to war and to all forms of patriarchal violence' organised by, among others, Udi Palermo, le rose bianche, donne Cgil Palermo, Emily.
Tomorrow at 10, convened by the prefect of Palermo Maria Teresa Cucinotta, the meeting of the provincial committee for public order and safety will take place. On the table, in addition to the dramatic episode of the raped girl, there will also be numerous episodes of violence and crime that occurred in recent weeks in the center of Palermo and in the places most frequented by young people.
