Chants, flags, banners and colors. About two hundred fans greeted their favorite team, Napoli, champion of Italy, in front of the Acquamontis hotel in Rivisondoli, where the Azzurri are spending the night during their summer retreat.
A delegation met with president Aurelio De Laurentiis and coach Rudi Garcia to talk about the transfer market and future prospects. The demonstration, with applause and encouragement for the reigning champions, agreed with the police, was presided over by several men in uniform.
Meanwhile the Napoli received another packed house in the penultimate friendly of the Alto Sangro retreat which was played yesterday at the Patini stadium in Castel di Sangro (L'Aquila). Over 7500 people attended the match.
There was some tension on Saturday evening at the Castel di Sangro sports center for the Gigi D'Alessio concert. Nine people were rescued by the 118 ambulance for illness and a head injury.
A night that kept rescuers and law enforcement busy. Five thousand fans applauded the Neapolitan singer-songwriter, who was however forced to interrupt his performance at the end to allow yet another rescue to a spectator who had felt ill.
