SubCulture, in collaboration with Rockalvi and Flava Beach, presents for the first time in Campania, for a single date in southern Italy; the live set of the musician and producer Trentemøller, one of the key figures of electronic music of the twenty-first century.
With him on stage there will be a full band for an “indie” and “electronic” concert with songs from his latest album with dark and introspective sounds, motorik, shoegaze, noise rock and electronic pop.
The event will take place on Saturday 09 September at the Flava Beach in Castel Volturno (Ce), entrance fee 28 euros + presale rights (Ticketone circuit) with doors opening at 22:00.
The evening will begin with the electronic live of Not Me But Us, a duo composed of Bruno Bavota and K-Conjong. After the live shows it will be time for the usual “Unconventional Party” with DJ sets by Slevin Korei, Demon, Safiria and Whip.
Anders Trentemøller is taking the soundscapes he has expertly created on his beautiful albums into a new dimension where indie fuses with electronica and krautrock to create an extraordinary experience. He is joined live by Icelandic solo artist Disa (vocals and guitar) as well as Silas Tinglef (drums), Brian Batz (guitar, and the man behind the dream pop/shoegaze band Sleep Party People), and Jacob Haubjerg (bass), who has also played for Sleep Party People and Savage Rose, as well as his own indie pop/post punk project Lustre.
After a long hiatus, Trentemøller’s new album – Memoria – has been specially designed to be played live. On stage, the band will be joined by legendary lighting designer Leroy Bennett (famous for his work with Nine Inch Nails, Prince, Lady Gaga and Paul McCartney).
While many artists follow a pattern of invention and reinvention, Anders Trentemøller’s production arc is a series of points along the same curve, playing with each release as the next chapter in an ever-evolving series. Contrasts and paradoxes are often explored, along with other themes that revolve around reminiscence and memory, while avoiding nostalgia. His latest album, “Memoria,” delves deeper and honors the five canons of storytelling, which also include: inventio, dispositio, elocutio, and pronuntiatio.
The international event is one of the most anticipated summer events for the Campania audience that too often does not have the chance to attend live shows of this caliber. For the occasion, the organizers decided to have a new Neapolitan band, Not Me But Us, start the live set, composed of two names already established abroad such as Bruno Bavota (pianist and composer who collaborates with Temporary Residence and Believe Records) and Fabrizio Somma (composer and producer known by the moniker K-Conjog). Both born under Vesuvius, they found themselves on the splendid island of Procida to participate in an event linked to the city of culture, creating a joint song. The interaction was so natural and playful that the collaboration (planned for that event) evolved very quickly into something much more serious and complex that led the two to work in the studio together for several months. The result is an album to be released in March 2024 and simply titled "Two" for the acclaimed London label Sonic Cathedral.
