The State Police of the Police Headquarters Caserta executed a precautionary order for house arrest issued, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office by the GIP of Santa Maria Capua Vetere against a thirty-four-year-old Neapolitan, resident in the province of Naples, with a criminal record for property crimes, considered to be seriously suspected of the crimes of armed robbery and kidnapping.
The investigative activity, developed by the Caserta Flying Squad, started from
of the robbery, committed on January 11, 2021 at a jewelry store located inside a shopping center in Marcianise.
In the late afternoon of January 11, 2021, six male subjects, disguised and traveling in a van and a car, reached the entrance of the shopping center.
Three of the six criminals, on board the van, approached the "cage" where the concierge was located, dragging him inside the van itself to be released after the crime had been committed.
The latter vehicle immediately set off again to reach a jewelry store located inside the shopping center, where a car with three other accomplices on board converged, which was used as a battering ram to break down the door/window of the business.
The three robbers aboard the car, disguised, wearing gloves and holding a gun and a crowbar, got out of the car, entered the business and blocked the owner of the jewelry store, taking possession of the sample collection of precious gold and diamond objects and numerous other valuables kept in the safe.
After the assault, the robbers got back into the car and sped away. The investigation led to the identification of one of the alleged perpetrators.
At dawn today, the Caserta Flying Squad tracked down the man at his home and, after the usual formalities, the police placed him under house arrest at his home.
