“BESTIA”, THE NEAPOLITAN RAPPER OYOSHE TALKS ABOUT GAZA
From today, “Bestia”, the new single by Oyoshe, a Neapolitan rapper and producer, is available on all digital platforms. The song, produced by Oyoshe himself together with Alex Silvestri, is released by two independent labels, Magma Music and Time 2 Rap, comes two months after the release of Txttxppxst and anticipates the release of the album “AMEN”, scheduled for early 2024.
Oyoshe conceived “Bestia” after the experience of “Gaza Is Alive 2019”, the initiative that brought hip hop culture to the Gaza Strip in 2019. After this experience, the artist’s knowledge of the Palestinian issue took on a more concrete and profound form. Oyoshe describes this new song as follows: “It is an immersion, an identification with the sensations of those who live in a place occupied by military forces.
I wrote an explicit text but, at the same time, I tried to obtain a fluid language, to use crude words that would carry a certain sensitivity on the subject, trying to construct the daily events of a place afflicted by war, using direct images in a narrative crescendo that I believe touches on very strong points, also because they are true”.
The single is accompanied by a lyric video available on YouTube with animated images created by Frank Paciello.
