From Saturday 18 November the Royal Palace of Napoli will organize every third Saturday of the month, the initiative “Saturday of the deposits. Guided tours of the Deposits of furnishings and works of art of the Royal Palace”. On the dedicated days, the Museum staff will accompany visitors through routes usually not accessible to the public, which include in alternate months a guided tour of the Deposito Pittura e Laboratorio di Restauro and the Deposito Foriera.
Saturday 18 November will begin with a visit to the Painting Storage and Restoration Laboratory located on the mezzanine floor of the building and returned to operation in 2014 following major renovation work.
There are two scheduled visits lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes with meeting point at the Fountain of Fortune in the Courtyard of Honor of the Palace: the first at 10,00 and the second at 11,30 with groups of maximum 25 people with mandatory reservation until places are sold out at the following link: https://www.coopculture.it/it/prodotti/il-sabato-dei-depositi/

On Saturday 16 December, the Foriera Deposito will be open to visitors. It is located in spaces that were once used by the Navy and overlook the military dock below and is currently used to store XNUMXth-century furnishings, mostly from the rooms that now house the “Vittorio Emanuele III” National Library.

Closure to the public of the Royal Palace of Naples from 25 to 30 November 2023
The entire complex of the Royal Palace of Naples (including the Courtyards and Gardens) will be closed to the public from 25 to 30 November 2023 inclusive.
In fact, from 27 to 29 November the Royal Palace of Naples will host the conference “Cultural Heritage in the 21st Century”, an international summit that will involve representatives and experts from the 194 UNESCO member countries. The event, jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Naples, will address the challenges posed to Heritage by urbanization, overtourism, climate change and conflicts over the course of seven thematic sessions.
In the two days before and the day after the event dates, the site will not be accessible to the public in order to allow for the completely safe management of all organizational phases of the event.
