“I fell in love with Naples, where I shot my last film ('Who Kidnapped Jerry Calà') and I think I'll move to live there”, Calà said. “I have a little project coming up soon, to get support to live this city more and more, I love it”.
Calà also told an anecdote about his experience in Napoli while filming "Christmas holidays", film produced by Aurelio De Laurentiis who just turned forty.
“One night in a bar I fell asleep, after drinking the Grolla dell'amicizia, which is a horrible thing with eighty degrees of alcohol, I slipped under the table and the owner went away and left me there”, Calà said. “In the morning Aurelio De Laurentiis came to look for me, opened the shutter and grabbed me by the ears and brought me to the set."
Another anecdote told by Calà always concerns De Laurentiis.
“We played a nice prank on De Laurentiis”, Calà said. “Enrico (Vanzina, ed.) and I are passionate about music, we put together the most beautiful songs of the moment and we went to record them to then use them for playback. But we hadn’t taken into account that we had chosen songs whose rights would have cost an arm and a leg”.
