He threatened the owner of a company that won a 700 thousand euro tender for the renovation of the sports facility in Pannarano, in the province of Benevento, with a gun.
The arrest was carried out by the Carabinieri on a warrant from the Court of Naples, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, for attempted extortion aggravated by mafia methods.
The suspect is suspected of acting in conjunction with other people who have not yet been identified. The investigation began last October after the complaint of the administrator of the Caserta construction company, who reported having been threatened several times, including with the use of firearms, by individuals who asked him to pay a sum.
