The video of a violent fight between two women in broad daylight in Piazza Nazionale in Napoli is making the rounds on the web. The videos, filmed by those present and sent to the deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli, show the two protagonists punching each other, probably over a traffic dispute, and pulling each other's hair: the classic "drascino".
Those present try to separate them while one of the two attacks the other, who has fallen to the ground. A subsequent video shows the mutual insults that the two exchange as they walk away from the square.
“Violence has no limits anymore,” commented Francesco Emilio Borrelli, deputy of the Green Left Alliance. “Women and men, adults or children, it makes no difference, now every day there are people who try to transform our streets into a ring, collecting every excuse to argue and punch each other.
This time the protagonists are two women who confronted each other without holds barred in front of many people in Piazza Nazionale. An unworthy spectacle but, unfortunately, increasingly frequent. These individuals must be severely punished if we want to stop the violent drift that is spreading in our city”.
Borrelli calls for severe penalties for those who turn the streets into a ring. “We can no longer tolerate scenes like this,” he said. “We need a strong and decisive response from the institutions to punish those who commit acts of violence and to restore security to citizens.”
