**THIORO: Senegalese Little Red Riding Hood Theater of the Little di Napoli**
The Teatro dei Piccoli in Naples will host an extraordinary show of actor theater, dance and live music entitled THIORO, which will present a Senegalese version of the famous tale of Little Red Riding Hood. The event will be held on Saturday, March 16 and includes two performances, one at 11 am and one at 16 pm, aimed at children aged 6 and up and their families. It is necessary to book in advance through Vivaticket or at the theater box office.
THIORO is an original reinterpretation of the well-known folk tale, which mixes elements of the European fairy tale with African tradition. Spectators will be immersed in an imaginative journey through Africa, meeting characters such as Buky the hyena, in an innovative and engaging staging.
The theatrical initiative, conceived by Teatro delle Albe/Ravenna Teatro and Ker Théâtre Mandiaye Ndiaye, is part of the program dedicated to the children of the Teatro dei Piccoli of Naples. Thanks to a combination of dramaturgy, dance, music and interaction with the audience, the show aims to convey a message of dialogue and sharing between different cultures.
Furthermore, there will be performances dedicated to schools in the days preceding the public performance, to involve students in this artistic and cultural experience. The collaboration with local institutions such as Casa del Contemporaneo/Le Nuvole, I Teatrini and Sound Project testifies to the importance attributed to the diffusion of theatrical culture among young people.
