The Department of Endocrinology, Diabetology, Nutrition and Andrology Federico II, directed by Annamaria Colao, has inaugurated, in collaboration with various institutional figures, a new service dedicated to foreigners at the Policlinico Nuovo in Napoli.
This clinic, called Dia Day Diabetic Immigrants Assistance, represents the first point of access for non-EU citizens who need medical care in Italy.
Thanks to the collaboration between the Department of Endocrinology, the regional councilor Fulvio Frezza, the president of Adif II Roberto Sepe and various institutional figures of the Municipality of Naples, foreigners present in the territory will be able to benefit from free diabetological, endocrinological, nutritional visits and postural assessments.
The management of this service will be entrusted to Dr. Nicola Tecce, with the aim of guaranteeing healthcare to everyone, regardless of their legal residence status in Italy.
Numerous personalities took part in the inauguration of the clinic, including Professor Annamaria Colao and various honorary consuls from different nations.
This important step in the field of healthcare demonstrates the institutions' commitment to ensuring access to medical care for all, thus helping to promote well-being and health in the community.
