The Carabinieri of the Castello di Cisterna group and investigative unit carried out a significant seizure last night in the popular neighborhoods of Pomigliano D'Arco. The operation led to the discovery of a considerable arsenal belonging to the criminal world.
Among the confiscated weapons, a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun, a 7,65-caliber Jager rifle complete with a single-stack magazine with 10 rounds stand out. But not only firearms: the operation's balance also includes a 7.65-caliber Browning pistol with a round in the chamber and 5 cartridges, 2 scenic pistols without a red cap, and 4 blocks of hashish, totaling 400 grams of narcotic substance.
Authorities said the weapons will be subjected to fingerprinting and ballistics tests to determine whether they have recently been used in criminal activity. This latest success is part of a series of targeted checks in the city's most at-risk neighborhoods, aimed at combating and preventing criminal activity in the area.
