During a territorial control service, the officers of the Vasto-Arenaccia Police Station made a disconcerting discovery yesterday evening. While passing through Vico Cappella in Pontenuovo, they witnessed a suspicious exchange between two individuals: one handed a banknote to the other, who quickly walked away.
The police officers, ready to intervene, reached and stopped the suspect after a brief escape attempt. During the search, they found in his possession two packages containing crack, which he was trying to hide in his mouth, along with a precision scale and the sum of 127 euros, presumably the proceeds of the illegal activity.
The arrested man is a 40-year-old Moroccan citizen with a criminal record, some of which are specific and irregular on the national territory. He was therefore arrested for illegal possession of narcotics. The prompt action of the police helped to counter criminal activity in the neighborhood and remove a significant amount of drugs from circulation.
