The Villammare Festival Film&Friends is moving forward towards its 23rd edition. The first name to fill the 2024 cast is of great prestige.
Presiding over the feature film jury, occupying the seat that last year belonged to screenwriter Enrico Vanzina, will be a triple Oscar winner, director of photography Vittorio Storaro who has won the coveted statuette 3 times with the films Apocalypse Now, Reds and The Last Emperor. His photography is impeccable, his career is brilliant and studded with awards, he will be at the Villammare Festival from 22 to 29 August and he is already ready to do his job.
A great opportunity therefore for the directors of the features who are submitting their films these days. The wait is also growing to know the winners of the shorts that will be able to compete, in addition to the first place overall chosen by the artistic jury, for several Special Awards including the one assigned by the Pietro De Luca Foundation to the short that will be able to tell a gesture of love (towards a person, an animal, God, the territory ...), that of the Bcc Montepruno intended for shorts shot in the territory of Cilento, Diano and Alburni, that of the Rotary E -Club Film & Friends aimed at shorts able to promote the Rotary values of service. Meanwhile, the construction of the 2024 cast continues. The protagonist of the evening of the 28th dedicated to the soundtracks has already been defined: it will be the famous saxophonist Stefano Di Battista who with his jazz project "Morricone stories" is having great success.
