Naples. Yet another dawn of handcuffs for the Neapolitan Camorra and this time it was the turn of the powerful Mazzarella criminal family or rather some of the federated clans.

There were 22 arrests carried out this morning, on the orders of the Naples DDA by the police, the carabinieri and the financial police in the neighborhoods of Forcella, Case Nuove and the San Gaetano district.
They are all accused of mafia association, extortion, drugs and weapons. And so after having inflicted three blows to the Contini clan and this time it's the turn of the Secondigliano Alliance Mazzarella.
22 people were arrested, by order of the Court of Naples, on charges of mafia association, attempted murder, assault, robbery, extortion, illegal possession and carrying of firearms, drug trafficking, all aggravated by mafia methods.
The suspects are considered seriously suspected of belonging to the Mazzarella clan, one of the most powerful criminal organizations in the Camorra.
The operation arises from two separate investigations:
First investigation: conducted by the Naples Flying Squad, it allowed us to reconstruct the rise of the “Giuliano” clan, an offshoot of the Mazzarella clan, operating in the Forcella and Maddalena neighborhoods.
The investigations, carried out between January 2020 and December 2021, documented the birth of the group, its establishment in the territory and the stipulation of an alliance with the Mazzarella clan.
Numerous crimes committed by the clan were also ascertained, including attempted murder, assault, extortion, robbery and drug trafficking.
Second investigation: carried out between the end of 2018 and January 2022, shed light on the criminal group called “paranza di San Gaetano”, an offshoot of the Mazzarella clan active in the historic center of Naples.
The investigations reconstructed the structure, operations and control of the territory by the group, particularly in drug trafficking and dealing.
Details of those arrested:
Julian clan: 10 people, including GS, believed to be the leader of the group.
Paranza of San Gaetano: 7 people, including BS, a leading member of the Mazzarella clan.
Caldarell Groupi: 5 people.
The investigations were conducted by the Naples Flying Squad, the Naples Carabinieri Investigative Unit and the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station.
