Artenauta's ambitious project begins. Simona Tortora plans a new vision of theater in Nocera, where the fourth wall is broken, audience and actors are one body.

An Open-Air Theater
The Parco Fienga Castle is transformed into a huge open-air theater, the protagonist of a spectacular happening where, as in a magical game of mirrors, actors and audiences mingle, breaking the fourth wall. The “SO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY” project will be held on Friday 5 July 2024 in the spaces of the historic medieval building in Nocera Inferiore and sees the artistic direction of Simona Tortora, founder of Artenauta Teatro, with the direction and dramaturgy of Luigi Fortino, the organization of Giuseppe Citarella and the Artenauta Teatro Company. The evening will also see the concert of “Tony Borlotti ei suoi flauers”, and the proceeds will be donated to the Associazione Zoofila Nocerina. The project is in collaboration with the Ridiamo Vita al Castello association. A shuttle service will be available from 20 pm.
Unconventional Theatrical Performances
The evening breaks the traditional conventions of theater, creating the conditions for an immersive experience, between reality and imagination. The spectator is catapulted into an alternative dimension, invited to follow a traveling path inside the Castle of the Fienga Park. In an amazing theatrical game, actors and audience travel through a world where the concept of celebration wants to celebrate the precious singularity of each spectator, through the stories of their bodies. Between screams, winking gestures and sung verses, the artists - dressed for the stage and immersed in the natural scenery of the Nocera manor - try to convince the spectators to choose which performances and monologues to listen to, like in a noisy and colorful market in Naples. Here, however, there are no vegetables, meat and fish to buy. Here stories are given away. An actor for each vital organ, and the audience can interact. The audience disappears. Everything becomes theater and everyone lives a different experience.
The Concept of “SO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY”
“SO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY” starts from an intriguing question: “If a part of the body could speak to us, had a voice and above all our ability to listen, what would it say about us?”. Every part of the body tells a story from its point of view. Giving voice to these stories with the most varied dramatic hues – hilarious, passionate, violent, grotesque, melancholic, crazy – will be the actors of Artenauta Teatro, directed by Simona Tortora. The stories in an itinerant key will be told in the splendid setting of the Castello del Parco Fienga in Nocera Inferiore. “SO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY” is celebrating the constant rebirth that we experience without the need for a date to certify it.
The Concert of “Tony Borlotti and His Flauers”
To enrich the evening and alternate with the stories there will be a concert by “Tony Borlotti ei suoi flauers”, a band founded in Salerno in 1995, one of the most appreciated and long-lived Italian neo beat bands with a “sixties” influence in terms of sound and attitude.
