Naples. A joint operation between the Carabinieri and the Local Police led to the seizure of a municipal building in Naples that had been transformed into a real bunker.

The building, located in Vico Torre in the Marianella district, had been completely transformed with illegal construction work to make it independent and equipped with a courtyard of approximately 200 square meters created on an area taken from public land.
Access to the new bunker was through a gate built into a surrounding wall, which led to a courtyard that allowed entry to the completely modified accommodation.
The investigation found that the house was in the possession of a woman linked to a member of a well-known local Camorra clan, who was recently imprisoned. It is assumed that the couple was preparing the bunker to use it as a refuge in case of need.
