Opportunities for young emerging curators: Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo is offering two scholarships of 5.000 euros each for CAMPO, its renowned course of studies and curatorial practices dedicated to contemporary art. The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the association Amici del Madre di Napoli, is aimed at two candidates residing or domiciled in the regions of Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia. The aim is to break down geographical barriers, promoting access to training for those coming from the regions of Southern Italy.
CAMPO, a unique course in Italy for its training in the artistic and curatorial field, combines theory and practice with an itinerant approach that includes visits to the most prestigious Italian art institutions and, every year, a trip to a European capital of contemporary art. The course, born in Turin and linked to the cultural system of the city, is now a point of reference at a national level, welcomed as one of the most complete paths for curatorial studies.
The collaboration with the Friends of Madre, an association active in the diffusion of contemporary art in Campania, further enriches the CAMPO project, allocating these two scholarships to young people from the South. The funds, which cover the cost of the course and provide support for travel and accommodation expenses, represent a concrete commitment to broaden access to artistic training.
The scholarships will be awarded for the CAMPO25 edition by a jury composed of Angela Tecce, president of the Donnaregina Foundation for Contemporary Arts, Eva Fabbris, director of the Madre Museum, Gianfranco D'Amato, representative of the Friends of Madre, and a professor from the CAMPO Faculty.
