A 20-year-old man, resident in Villa Literno, was reported by the Carabinieri of the local station for the crime of fraud. The boy, in fact, created websites for the online sale of car parts, used as a tool to deceive unsuspecting buyers throughout the country.

The military initially went to his home to conduct a house search for narcotics. During the operation, a small amount of marijuana was found and seized, and the young man was reported to the Prefecture of Caserta for possession of it. However, it was a further discovery that revealed the extent of his illicit activities.

Inside the house, the Carabinieri seized three cell phones. One of these, repeatedly reached by rings and messages of complaint regarding the non-delivery of car parts, attracted the attention of the investigators.

Upon further investigation, it emerged that the young man, through a "business" profile on a well-known instant messaging app, pretending to be a car wrecker from Modena who was unaware of what had happened, had carried out a series of scams. Buyers paid for engines and auto parts by bank transfer, without ever receiving the goods.

The investigations have allowed us to trace back to 32 reports of fraud, accumulated only in 2024, for a total estimated value of 6.000 euros. The young man will now have to answer for his actions before the justice system.
