Naples. Surreal scenes Friday evening in the city center, where a baby gang carried out a theft of Christmas decorations from a shop in via Toledo, one of the busiest streets in the city. The group, made up of hooded kids, showed up on the spot with a ladder over three meters high, acting in the general indifference of citizens and tourists.
Despite the street being crowded, the young criminals stole a Christmas tree and other decorations without being disturbed, and then quickly disappeared. The episode was captured on the business's surveillance cameras, which recorded every moment of the robbery.
The images of the theft were sent to the deputy of the Green Left Alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who reported the incident, underlining how similar episodes could be linked to the ancient tradition of the Sant'Antonio memorial, which involves the burning of trees during the January celebrations.
"The thefts of trees for the monument of Sant'Antonio have begun. Hooded like criminals, they use a ladder of over three meters in general indifference", commented Borrelli.
The case has sparked outrage and concern, once again highlighting the phenomenon of baby gangs in Naples and the need for more incisive interventions to ensure safety on the city's streets.

It's incredible how these guys managed to steal in broad daylight, but the citizens didn't notice anything. Security in the city of Naples must be improved, especially with these baby gangs that do what they want.
