It happened at dawn on Sunday in Castello di Cisterna: the Carabinieri of the local station, together with their colleagues from Marigliano, intervened in an apartment after a report to 112.
The scene they found before them was dramatic: a house in disarray and a visibly distressed 40-year-old woman, with clear signs of the violence she had just suffered.
According to the police's reconstruction, the attack was triggered by a jealous outburst by the husband, a 45-year-old man, who kicked and punched his wife. The victim was immediately transferred to Nola Hospital for treatment, while the man was arrested on the scene.
The 45-year-old was taken to prison and will have to answer to the charges of mistreatment in the family and personal injury. A serious episode that sheds light, once again, on the tragedy of domestic violence, a phenomenon that is unfortunately still too widespread. The authorities renew the invitation to promptly report any form of abuse to guarantee protection to the victims and prosecute those responsible.
