Arzano – The local police continue to carry out checks on the territory without stopping and have identified an area of the historic centre with significant building abuses.
The agents, coordinated by commander Biagio Chiariello, entered a building following the discovery of some waste on the street, on Via Annunziata in the historic center, a frequent place of dumping.
Several occupants were identified who had transformed parts of the building in a manner that did not comply with urban planning regulations.
The report adopted by the supporting technicians is substantial and also the fines up to twenty thousand euros with the adoption of the demolition order.
For the crimes ascertained, a criminal report was forwarded to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Napoli North for violation of Presidential Decree 380 of 2001.
The checks by the white helmets were also extended to aspects related to taxes and an illegal withdrawal of water was ascertained for several years with disconnection of the meter and report for theft.

It seems to me that controls are important to maintain legality, but there are many people who do not know the rules. Perhaps it would be useful to provide more information on what can and cannot be done in historic areas.
I agree with Zfiore, people often ignore the zoning rules. The local police should also organize meetings to better explain the rules and prevent future abuses.
Controls are necessary, but we must also consider that some people may act without knowing they are breaking the law. A dialogue between authorities and citizens could be a good solution.
