The State Police conducted a control operation over the weekend in the areas frequented by the nightlife in Mergellina.

During the activity, the police concentrated their operations near the “chalets” and in Largo Sermoneta. During the checks, 220 people were identified, including 35 individuals known for police records.
Additionally, officers stopped and checked 39 vehicles as part of a broad public safety initiative to ensure a safe environment for those who frequent the area.

The police check operation was certainly important, but I noticed that people continue to frequent the same areas even after the checks. They should do more checks in other areas to ensure safety.
