Naples responded well to the first wave of tourists arriving in the city on Palm Sunday weekend. This is what is highlighted in a note from the municipal administration in which the stability of services is taken stock. “It was an opportunity,” the note explains, “to test all the services put in place by the municipal administration which, three years ago, established a task force between departments – Tourism, Mobility, Health and Green, Municipal Police – to prepare the strengthening of the main services in the event of extraordinary tourist flows.
For the holidays of Easter and the long weekends of April 25 and May 1, the city's tourist observatory estimates the arrival of 1 million visitors". – Traveling infopoints (branded minicar) Last weekend, the new traveling infopoint service was guaranteed through a minicar that allows staff to move from the historic center to the seafront, with stops in Piazza Dante, Piazza Carità, Largo Berlinguer, at the intersection with Via De Deo (climb with murals of Maradona) and along Via Partenope, between the Giardini del Molosiglio up to Piazza Vittoria.
Tourists have particularly requested information on events in the city, public transport and connections to the islands. – Fixed infopoints Fixed infopoints have also held up to the high influx of tourists, mostly from France and Spain, and in greater numbers than in previous weeks.
