Outrage and controversy after the diffusion on social media of a video call, made from prison, between the grandmother and the young inmate accused of the murder of Giovanbattista Cutolo, the musician known as GiòGiò.
In the video, affectionate messages to the killer, arousing anger and indignation among the public and the victim's family.
The deputy of the Green Left Alliance, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, harshly condemned the episode.
"The words of GiòGiò's mother, Daniela Di Maggio, are a cry that cannot go unheard. It is unacceptable that, while a family mourns in silence for an innocent child, social media is used to humanize those who took a life. It is a shame that outrages the memory of the victims and the State itself."
Borrelli calls for the immediate blackout of the profile from which the content was released and the opening of an internal investigation.
"The State cannot allow executioners to become victims. Enough with crime that becomes a spectacle. We owe respect to the victims and to those who believe in justice."

I think the video should not be released, as it creates confusion among people. Justice must be clear and the victims must not be forgotten, this is very important for society.
