Giuseppe Bruscolotti, historic flag of Napoli and captain of the '87 championship, has no doubts: the one just won by the Azzurri is a total, collective and deserved triumph. The former defender commented enthusiastically on the fourth tricolor of the Neapolitan club, dwelling on the protagonists of the ride.
“Who are the symbols? All of them, when you win you do it together. But if I have to choose a face, I’d say McTominay. He was an absolute surprise and yesterday he scored an incredible goal, held back but still able to coordinate and put the ball in the net. He did something extraordinary”, he said.
But the former captain also looks at the season as a whole, getting a few things off his chest: "Napoli deserved more than Inter, if you come first you have not stolen anything. And it must also be said that the Azzurri were penalized by more than one referee's decision. The success is clear, fair, limpid".
And then there's Antonio Tale, the director of the rebirth: "Conte was an absolute protagonist. He inherited a destroyed environment and a squad to rebuild. His work, especially on a psychological level, was extraordinary. No one expected these results and instead he got a Napoli that seemed on its knees back on its feet".
