A sudden fall, the darkness of the night, thick vegetation and no possibility of getting up. It was a real misadventure that a 60-year-old man in Avellino experienced late yesterday evening, falling into a ravine in the hilly area of Liguorini, in the San Tommaso neighborhood.
The man was alone when he slipped on the rough terrain, remaining trapped among branches, brushwood and muddy ground. His desperate cries for help were heard by a passerby who did not hesitate to call for help. The Fire fighters who, armed with chainsaws, laboriously opened a path through the bush to reach the wounded man.
Once rescued, the man was entrusted to the care of 118, in shock but fortunately in non-serious conditions. An episode that rekindles attention on the danger of certain poorly lit areas with no safe routes, especially in the evening hours.

This story is really sad and worrying. I can't believe there are such dangerous places where one can slip so easily. I hope the man is okay now and takes precautions in the future.
Certainly, more attention is needed in these areas, especially at night. The thick vegetation can create risky situations for those who do not know the territory well, something must be done to improve safety.
