Naples – A new earthquake was recorded today, May 23, 2025, in the Campi Flegrei area. The earthquake occurred at 12:48 and was clearly felt by the population in various areas of the Phlegraean territory, including Monterusciello, Lucrino, Quarto and Arco Felice.
According to initial findings, the magnitude of the earthquake was lower than the recent seismic events that have affected the area in recent weeks. Numerous reports have been received on social media from residents, who said they felt the earthquake clearly, albeit briefly.
Pending official confirmation from the Vesuvius Observatory and the INGV, no damage to property or people has been reported. The earthquake is part of the Phlegraean bradyseism, a phenomenon in continuous evolution and subject to constant monitoring by the competent authorities.
