At the Terzigno Archaeological Museum, Saturday 24 May 2025, presentation of the book “Lo sperdimento e altro” by Luigi Fontanella, an explosive mix of poems that challenges conventions and shakes the foundations of traditional literature.
The Protagonists on Stage
The event, scheduled for 17.30:XNUMX p.m. at the MATT in Corso Luigi Einaudi, will bring together key figures such as Mayor Francesco Ranieri, Deputy Mayor with responsibility for Culture Genny Falciano, and Scientific Director of the MATT Angelo Massa. Local poet Salvatore Violante will introduce the talks, while Rita Pacilio, Marcello Carlino, and Enzo Rega will offer their cutting analyses. Filippo Vitiello will play the guitar to evoke volcanic atmospheres, and Lucio Canzanella will coordinate everything with a firm hand, promising a creative chaos that might just make a few nerves jump.
The Book That Breaks the Rules
The volume is composed of two main poems, more unpublished, with “Lo sperdimento” – written between 2019 and 2021 – which has already caused a stir in “Dell'ultimo orizzonte” of “Interlinea”. The author describes it as “liquid, zigzagging (…)”, a poetry that breaks down objective barriers and makes words fly in a whirlwind of emotions, thanks to learned quotes that barely hold back the excess. The other section, “gli spiriti del sangue”, born between 2021 and 2022 from recent influences such as Pascal Mercier, ends with occasional texts, including “Luce sciatta” dedicated to Alessandro Carrera, all forged during a period of personal turbulence related to health problems.
Cultural Aperitifs Included
Before the event, starting at 16.30:30 p.m., visitors will be able to explore the Archaeological Museum, which hosts the contemporary art exhibition “Il volto e la storia” by Gaetano Di Riso until June XNUMX, offering a cocktail of history and modernity that could spark more discussion than expected.
